Chairman of the Board

Adolphus B. Baker has led Cal-Maine Foods for nearly four decades and currently serves as Board Chair, a position he has held since 2012. He previously served as Chief Executive Officer, President, and Chief Operations Officer, and joined the company in 1986. Mr. Baker played a central role in expanding Cal-Maine into the largest producer and distributor of fresh shell eggs in the United States, overseeing the integration of 26 acquisitions and the company’s 1996 initial public offering. He serves on the boards of Trustmark Corporation, Trustmark National Bank, and Eggland’s Best. Mr. Baker holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Mississippi State University.

Melanie Boulden is a former Executive Vice President and Chief Growth Officer of Tyson Foods, where she also previously led the multibillion-dollar Prepared Foods division. She brings more than 25 years of brand, commercial, and innovation leadership across Tyson Foods, The Coca-Cola Company, Reebok, Crayola, Kraft Foods, and Henkel. Ms. Boulden currently serves on the board of Adobe Inc. She earned a Bachelor of Science from Iowa State University and an MBA from the University of Iowa.

Max P. Bowman serves as Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer, and Secretary of Cal-Maine Foods. A Certified Public Accountant, he oversees corporate finance, accounting, investor relations, risk management, sustainability, and financial strategy for the company. Prior to joining Cal-Maine in 2018, Mr. Bowman held senior finance roles at Tenax, Southern States Utility Trailer Sales, and ChemFirst (NYSE: CEM). He earned a Bachelor of Accountancy from Mississippi State University.

Letitia C. Hughes has served on the Cal-Maine Board since 2001 and was appointed Lead Independent Director in 2025. Ms. Hughes retired after more than 40 years with Trustmark National Bank, most recently as Senior Vice President and Manager of Private Banking. She has deep expertise in financial services, credit analysis, risk oversight, and wealth management, and has held leadership roles with multiple civic and nonprofit organizations. Ms. Hughes earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Vanderbilt University.

Sherman L. Miller is President, Chief Executive Officer, and a member of the Cal-Maine Board. He joined the company in 1996 and has held leadership roles in operations, commodity sourcing, food safety, animal welfare, and risk management. Mr. Miller is recognized as a national authority in poultry and egg production and currently oversees long-term growth strategy, stakeholder engagement, and enterprise management. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Poultry Science from Mississippi State University.

Steve W. Sanders is a retired Partner and former Managing Partner of Ernst & Young in Jackson, Mississippi. A Certified Public Accountant, he has over 30 years of audit, financial reporting, merger and acquisition advisory, and compliance experience across multiple corporate and industry sectors. Mr. Sanders taught accounting at Mississippi State University and has served on multiple private and nonprofit boards. He earned both his Bachelor of Accountancy and MBA from Mississippi State University.

Camille S. Young is Principal and Director at Cornerstone Government Affairs, a bipartisan government relations and public affairs firm. She has more than 20 years of experience working with state and federal officials and advising on policy strategy, regulatory issues, stakeholder engagement, and community affairs. Ms. Young serves on multiple corporate and civic boards, including Mississippi Power Company. She holds a B.A. in Communication and an M.S. in Agriculture & Extension Education from Mississippi State University.
